Today is the twelfth-annual Take Your Dog to Work Day. The event, first created by Pet Sitters International in 1999, "asks pet lovers to celebrate the humane-canine bond and promote pet adoption" by bringing their four-legged friends to work.

Herbie's owner John says, "I have Herbie in the office with me most of the day and occasionally I turn around to find him sitting (looking very pleased with himself) at Nikki's desk behind me.

I turned around just now to find him in this stance and thought I'd quickly turn the camera on him!"

Mike works from home and his sheltie spends a majority of her day in his office, lazing about and eating the occasional treat. Says Mike, "Here we see her cleaning up the crumbs on the chair-mat in my office after the UPS guy showed up making sure everything is was the way it should be (in her mouth)."
